The Shefa School
Carly Scheinberg Jaret, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD is an experienced Speech Language Pathologist currently serving as the Lower School Language Coordinator at The Shefa School since February 2020. Prior experience includes internships at Blythedale Children's Hospital and Manhattan VA Medical Center, where Carly provided evidence-based treatment for various communication disorders and conducted clinical swallow evaluations. Additionally, Carly has worked as a Speech Language Pathology Intern at Winston Prep School, focusing on individual and group therapy for students with language disabilities, and served as a Graduate Student Clinician at multiple clinics. Earlier career roles include Special Education Teacher positions with Teach For America and CICS Prairie, adapting curriculums for students with diverse needs. Carly holds a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Master of Science in Special Education and Teaching from Dominican University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
The Shefa School
The Shefa School is a Jewish community day school in Manhattan serving students in grades 1–8 who benefit from a specialized educational environment in order to develop their strengths while addressing their learning challenges. We specifically serve students with language-based learning disabilities who have not yet reached their potential levels of success in traditional classroom settings. Shefa is a pluralistic community school serving families across the range of Jewish involvement and observance.
