Andrew Thomas has a strong background in the mining and drilling industry. Andrew started their career in 1989 as an Exploration Geologist at Coal Contractors Ltd and worked there until 1992. Andrew then joined Miller Mining as a Senior Geologist from 1992 to 2000. After that, they worked at Van Elle Ltd as a Regional Director from 2000 to 2007. Currently, they hold the position of Operations Director (Drilling) at The Sirius Group, which they have held since 2007. Andrew'srole at The Sirius Group involves site investigation drilling and specializing in the stabilisation of shallow mineworkings.
Andrew Thomas completed their secondary education at Llangatwg Comprehensive from 1979 to 1984. Andrew then attended Neath Tertiary College from 1984 to 1986. Finally, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology at The University of Sheffield from 1986 to 1989.
