Alan Poon has extensive work experience in analog/mixed-signal design and engineering. Alan started their career at AMD in 2004, where they worked as a Senior Analog Designer and later as a Member of Technical Staff in the IO Circuit Design and PLL Design teams. In these roles, they were responsible for defining specifications, designing analog components, and developing custom high-speed logic. Alan also collaborated with digital designers and participated in the development and testing of various PLL designs for high-speed PHYs, GPU, and DTV applications.
In 2011, Alan joined Peraso Technologies as a Senior Staff Engineer in Analog/Mixed-signal Design. Here, they designed PLLs for low-power 60-GHz wireless transceiver products and IEEE802.11ad compliant wireless modems using different technologies. Alan also played a crucial role in improving the performance of a low-power ADC design.
Their most recent role is at The Six Semiconductor as the VP of Engineering, Analog/Mixed-signal Design since May 2019. Further details about their responsibilities and projects in this position are not provided.
Alan Poon pursued their education at the University of Toronto, where they completed their Master of Applied Science degree in Engineering from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2001, they attended the same university, although the specific degree and field of study for that period are not available.
