Rachel Whittlesey

Rachel Whittlesey has a diverse background in both culinary and geographic information systems. Currently serving as a Prep Cook at The Skinny Pancake since March 2021, Rachel has also gained valuable experience through various internships, including a Geographic Information System Intern at the Vermont Department of Health, where Rachel contributed to the development of sub-county aggregations for the state's cancer data portal. Previous roles include creating a 3D representation of infrastructure and tree canopy coverage as a GIS Analyst at the UVM Natural Resources Department and working as a Zoning Researcher at the Bennington County Regional Commission, focusing on zoning bylaw nonconformance. Rachel's earlier experience includes developing an interactive sustainable transportation map for Sustainable Transportation Vermont and working as a Bakery Clerk at Dakota Bread Co. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont, obtained in May 2022.
