Alex Koch

Alex Koch is a Full Stack Engineer at The Social Institute since June 2023, previously serving as a B2E Associate Software Engineer Consultant at York Solutions for Optum, where expertise in Angular, NestJS, Java, Spring Boot, and API development was demonstrated. Alex has experience as a Software Development Teaching Assistant, leading technical training cohorts in full stack JavaScript and Java development. Prior to a career in software development, Alex worked as a Development Geologist at Chevron, conducting geological assessments and risk analysis for oil drilling projects. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
