Ian Goddard

Ian Goddard (EngD) is a highly experienced professional in the motorsport engineering sector, currently serving as the Head of Technical & Innovation Partnerships at Alpine since January 2021. With a rich history in Formula One, Goddard previously held the position of Head of Technical Partnerships at Renault Sport Racing from 2008 to January 2021, where responsibilities included maximizing technical relationships and developing new technologies for mutual benefits. Additional roles include Senior CAE & Composites Design Engineer at Lotus F1 Team, Senior Design Engineer - Engines at Renault F1 Team, and various design engineering positions at TWR Arrows F1 and TOM WALKINSHAW RACING LIMITED, among others. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Knowledge Management for Innovation from Cranfield University, an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from City St George’s, University of London.
