Richard Stephens Ceng

Richard Stephens PhD CEng is a highly experienced aerodynamicist currently serving as the Head of Experimental Testing and Experimental Project Leader at Alpine F1 Team since June 2021, focusing on experimental aerodynamics projects. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Aerodynamicist at Renault Sport Racing from April 2017 to June 2021, contributing to the development of competitive Formula One cars, and a brief voluntary secondment at Penlon Ltd during the Covid-19 pandemic, where ventilators were tested and reworked. Richard's academic background features a PhD in Aerodynamics from the University of Cambridge, completed in 2017, as well as a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor's degree from the same institution. Additional early career experiences include placements at Siemens Healthcare and ONERA, emphasizing technical project involvement and research.
