Shannon King

Shannon King is a Technical Lead at Vitamin Angels, focusing on transforming lives through nutrition since August 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Technical Officer and Implementation Science Manager at The Society for Implementation Science in Nutrition. Shannon served as a National Evaluation Platforms Student Data Analyst at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, managing data for maternal, newborn, and child health programs in several African countries. Other key positions include Implementation Research Intern at Sight and Life and Nutrition Research Assistant at Micronutrient Initiative, where Shannon developed frameworks and conducted case studies on nutrition information systems for the Scaling Up Nutrition Movement. Shannon holds a PhD in International Public Health/International Health and a Master’s in Human Nutrition from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, along with a Bachelor's in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph. Shannon's leadership experience includes serving as President of the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences Student Alliance and facilitating workshops on leadership at the University of Guelph.
