Kristyn Oldendorf

Kristyn Oldendorf is an experienced public policy professional with a strong background in solid waste management and environmental initiatives. Currently serving as the Director of Public Policy at The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Kristyn monitors legislative developments and advocates for policy positions. Previously, as Associate Director at Anthesis Group, Kristyn led the Resource Recovery and Waste service line, delivering innovative projects for clients. Kristyn's experience at the Baltimore City Department of Public Works included roles such as Chief of the Office of Waste Diversion and Waste Reduction and Operations Coordinator, where responsibilities encompassed managing recycling programs and conducting policy analysis. Earlier positions include serving as Chief of Staff for Baltimore City Councilman Jim Kraft and completing volunteer service with the Peace Corps, where Kristyn conducted environmental education workshops. Kristyn holds a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from American University.
