Pamela Wike Boyd Cmp

Pamela Wike Boyd, CMP has extensive work experience in event management and coordination. From 2013 to present, they have held the position of Director of Meetings & Events at The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). Prior to this role, from 2013 to 2023, they served as the Senior Manager - Meetings & Events at the same organization. Before joining SWANA, they worked as the Education Program Manager at DBIA - Design-Build Institute of America from 2011 to 2013. Pamela'searlier work experience includes a position as a Production Assistant at BET (BET Networks, a subsidiary of Viacom Inc.) from 2006 to 2009, and as an E-Training & Certification Coordinator at SWANA from 2007 to 2008.

Pamela Wike Boyd, CMP, received their Master of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from Bowie State University, where they attended from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at Elizabeth City State University from 2003 to 2007. In May 2017, Pamela obtained additional certifications, including the Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) from the Convention Industry Council and the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) from the Events Industry Council.
