David Sutton has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. David began their career as an Accountant at TIME COMPUTERS LIMITED in 1996 and worked there until 2002. David then moved on to Royal London as a Group Management Accountant from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they served as a Finance Manager at NORTHERN RAIL LIMITED from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, David took on the role of Transfer Pricing Manager at Australia Post and later became a Finance Manager at London Scottish Bank for a brief period. From 2007 to 2012, they held the position of Senior Finance Manager at Fujitsu UK, focusing on Local Government and Transport sectors. David then transitioned to becoming a Lead Service Delivery Manager for the Construction sector at Fujitsu UK until 2015. Subsequently, they served as a Service Director in the Retail and Hospitality division of Fujitsu UK until 2016, when they took on the role of Financial Controller for Bid Finance UK&I and Nordics. In 2018, David joined The Sovereign Group as the Group Finance Director and later became the Chief Financial Officer in June 2020.
David Sutton completed their education with the following history:
- From 1991 to 1996, they attended Colne Primet High School, achieving GCSE qualifications.
- David then studied at Cardinal Newman College Preston from 1997 to 2000, earning a degree in the Association of Accounting Technicians.
- Between 2001 and 2004, David pursued further education at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, obtaining the certifications of CIMA Intermediate and Final (First time passed finalist) in March 2001, and ACMA (Associate Chartered Management Accountant) in 2004.
- In 2014, they attained the ITIL Foundation certification in Service Operations and Service Transition from ITIL.
