Douglas Homer has a diverse work experience in various positions related to sports business development and soccer. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as the Director of Development/Deputy Director at Neighbors' Consejo, where they managed fundraising programs and cultivated relationships with donors. From 2003 to 2008, they served as the Director of Development at the U.S. Soccer Foundation, overseeing strategic planning, marketing, and fundraising efforts. Douglas then worked as the Director of Soccer Development at FieldTurf Tarkett from 2008 to 2009, where they managed sales and marketing for soccer-specific accounts. From 2010 to 2012, they were the Managing Director at HoopEd LLC, where they improved the company's brand and established new partnerships. Douglas also worked as an Associate at The Ezra Company from 2012 to 2015. From 2014 to 2016, they served as the Executive Director at the DC Stoddert Soccer League, responsible for managing the organization's activities and implementing long-term strategic plans. Douglas Homer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Davis and Elkins College, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Douglas later pursued further education and received a Master of Education degree in Urban Education & Instruction from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Instructional Systems Development from the same institution, where they studied from 1998 to 2000. In addition to their academic qualifications, Douglas also obtained various certifications, including LaLiga Coaching Methodology Level 3 from La Liga in August 2016, Executive Director Leadership & Development from the Center for Non-Profits in May 2015, National A Coaching License from the United States Soccer Federation in July 2013, and Personal First Aid/CPR from the American Red Cross in May 2016.
