Shannon Forney is a Senior Budget Analyst at the City of Saint Paul since July 2022, with extensive experience in nonprofit and business management. As the Founder Curator of the Smallest Museum in St Paul, a micro museum initiative, Shannon has combined creativity with community engagement. Prior to the current role, experience includes serving as Business Manager for Workhorse Coffee Bar, where business plans and cash flow projections secured SBA funding, as well as Business Manager and Budget Analyst for the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation. Consulting with Next in Nonprofits enhanced nonprofit management strategies, and interim leadership as Managing Director at Interact Center for Visual & Performing Arts demonstrated capabilities in overseeing significant budgets. Shannon's earlier work with the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council involved grant program management and community outreach through various roles, including at the American Heart Association. Academic credentials include an MBA in Non-Profit Business Management from Hamline University and a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from Oberlin College.
