Sarah Ellis is an experienced journalist with a robust background in reporting, editing, and communications. As a metro reporter for The State Newspaper since May 2014, Sarah has developed expertise in local news coverage. Previous roles include serving as an assistant news editor and contributor for The Daily Gamecock, where budgeting and research skills were honed. An internship at The Charlotte Observer allowed Sarah to report on over 30 local stories, while a communications assistant position at Duke Energy involved writing for nuclear education platforms. Early experience includes copy editing at Bleacher Report and column writing for The Clemmons Courier. Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina (2010-2014) and graduated from West Forsyth High School (2006-2010).
