Caitlin Highland is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in strategic messaging and media relations across various political and nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Lawmaker Communications at The States Project since June 2022, Caitlin previously directed strategic communications at the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute, where notable achievements included increasing annual earned media mentions by 84% and enhancing the organization’s digital presence. Prior roles include Press Secretary for Stacey Abrams's gubernatorial campaign, where Caitlin managed media relations and secured over 2,000 positive media pieces, and Communications Manager for Georgia Resists, highlighting a strong record in grassroots organizing. Additionally, Caitlin has experience as a Communications Consultant and various roles in political campaigns and nonprofits, rooted in a BA in International Relations/Government from Claremont McKenna College.
