Vusi Dhlamini

Vusi Dhlamini has accumulated extensive work experience in the product management and startup industry. Vusi is currently working as a Product Manager at The Student Hub Online, where they are focused on expanding the product offerings. In their previous role as a Product Consultant at Founders Factory Africa, Vusi helped identify risks and challenges for startup founders and provided product-related workshops. Prior to that, they were the Product Manager at BusyMed, where they played a pivotal role in the early stages of the startup, wearing multiple hats and contributing as a generalist. Vusi also worked as a Product Owner at Trixta, where they were responsible for improving the existing product, conducting research, designing mockups, and working with engineers to implement new features. Additionally, they co-founded both Hooros, a remote digital agency specializing in technology and digital marketing for SMEs, and Aspiring Black Leaders, an organization focused on increasing diversity in the tech entrepreneurial space. Vusi also gained experience as a Product Owner at Playlogix and founded Studentville, a startup aimed at solving challenges faced by students in finding off-campus accommodation. Prior to that, they worked as a Customer Relationship Manager and Sales Representative at LIMU and as a Group Fitness Trainer at Planet Fitness. Overall, Vusi has a diverse range of experience in product management, startups, and entrepreneurship.

Vusi Dhlamini completed their secondary education at St Dunstan's College from 1997 to 2008, earning a Matric degree. In 2013 and 2014, they attended the Health and Fitness Professionals Academy (HFPA) where they obtained a Certificate in Exercise Science. The certificate program covered various subjects including Personal Training, Sports Conditioning, Coaching Science, and Training in Different Environments.

In addition to their formal education, Vusi Dhlamini has also obtained several certifications. In September 2019, they received a certification in Business Systems Analysis from GetSmarter. In December 2018, they became a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) through the Scrum Alliance. Vusi'smost recent certification, achieved in February 2020, is the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance.
