Chris Newson

Chris Newson is the CEO and Chair of The Student Room Group. They have been with the company since February 2006. Additionally, Chris is an Independent Governor at Brighton Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College since April 2015, and a member of the Student Space Programme Advisory Group at Student Minds from July 2020 to August 2021. Chris also founded and was the CEO of Enlitened, a platform for student engagement and wellbeing. They have invested in companies like Bibblio and EZ Education and worked as a Consultant at ManpowerGroup from 2003 to 2006. Chris has a BA Hons in Marketing and Finance from the University of Strathclyde and a degree in Product Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
