Chakshu Patel

Chakshu Patel joined The Studio Museum in Harlem as the Director of Institutional Advancement in June of 2019. She is leading the strategic direction, management, leadership, and implementation of the Museum’s capital and annual fundraising initiatives. Chakshu comes to the Studio Museum from Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), where she most recently served as Vice President in the Strategy Office. Prior to that, she served as the National Director of Foundation Relations and Donor Communications at PPFA. Under Chakshu’s leadership, the department experienced significant growth in both its revenue and the number of its full-time staff. In particular, her work focused on raising funds for key organizational strategic initiatives.
