Ilk Yasha is a highly accomplished academic and arts professional with extensive experience in museum education and community engagement. Currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University, Ilk teaches the "Museums & Communities" course within the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. As the Manager of the Studio Museum Institute since February 2018, Ilk oversees initiatives that support and mentor emerging leaders from underrepresented backgrounds in the art world. Previous roles include coordinating educational programs at Brooklyn Historical Society, Museum of the City of New York, and Pioneer Works, showcasing a strong commitment to developing inclusive educational experiences. Ilk holds a Ph.D. in History from King's College London and advanced degrees in Political Science and Biology from James Madison University.
