Amy Demelia

Amy DeMelia is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as the news editor at The Foxboro Reporter since January 2019, Amy assigns stories, edits copy, and lays out the newspaper. Prior to this role, Amy has been a beat reporter for The Sun Chronicle since November 1999, focusing on community news in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, while also contributing to digital content. Previous positions include reporter and assignment editor at the Taunton Daily Gazette, where coverage spanned various topics including courts, crime, education, and city council. Amy began their career as a freelance reporter for The Pawtucket Times and worked as a reporter for The Blackstone Valley Record. Amy holds a Bachelor's Degree in journalism with a political science minor from Boston University, earned from 1992 to 1996.
