Jake Phillips has a diverse work experience. Jake is currently working at The Superior Group as a Senior Project Manager since March 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Project Manager at the same company from December 2020.
Before joining The Superior Group, Jake worked at CRC Incorporated as a Project Manager from November 2014 to December 2020. Jake'sresponsibilities included managing the entire lifecycle of construction projects, developing client proposals, and clarifying subcontractor proposals.
Jake also served as a Construction Manager at Rogue Fitness from April 2013 to November 2014. In this role, they coordinated internal capital improvements and managed a project team responsible for the delivery of materials and equipment for events.
Prior to that, Jake worked at Balfour Beatty Construction in various roles. Jake was an Estimator/Senior Project Engineer from May 2012 to April 2013, where they reviewed contract documents, analyzed subcontractor proposals, and provided value engineering to customers during the bidding process. Jake also worked as a BIM Coordinator and Project Engineer from September 2010 to September 2011, and as a Project Intern from May 2008 to August 2008.
Additionally, Jake gained experience in obstacle course design and construction as part of Tough Mudder LLC from September 2011 to April 2012. Jake managed local contractors, performed quality control inspections, and drafted obstacle designs.
Jake Phillips has a strong education background with a focus on both building construction management and political science. Jake obtained their M.S. degree in Building Construction Management from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned their B.A. degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech, graduating in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Jake Phillips has also obtained certification as a Procore Certified Associate from Procore Technologies in February 2016.
