Robert C. (Bob) Klas, Jr. is Chairman of Tapemark™. Since joining the company in 1985, Bob’s leadership has guided Tapemark’s transition from a regionally based supplier to a global partner of leading companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer products markets. Bob served as CEO from 2006-2021, having served as President of Tapemark since 1991.

A graduate of Hamline University and William Mitchell College of Law, Bob began his career in banking, first at the former First Bank and later with Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo), where he managed their residential real estate lending in Minnesota, Western Wisconsin, and Northern Iowa.

A lifelong resident of St. Paul, Bob is committed to participating in strengthening the community. He currently serves on the board of The Tapemark Charity Pro-Am and is chairman of the Hamline University Board of Trustees; additionally, he has been past chair of the school’s Audit Committee and Capital Campaign Committee. He also serves on the board of Minnesota Diversified Industries.

Bob's past community service includes the United Way of the St. Paul Area and Leadership Giving Committee, Family Service, Inc. of St. Paul, Dakota Communities, Inc., Signal Bank, Community Employment Partnership, and The Berres Homes.
