Cormac Lyons

Cormac Lyons has focused on research and development for over 18 years in the pharmaceutical space. He has a rare blend of experience and knowledge in both the technical and business sides of the industry. Cormac has produced successful results in all stages of pharmaceutical development. This includes early development of new technologies, technology transfer, process development, clinical manufacturing, commercial process validation, and commercial product launch.

Cormac has substantive experience with drug and drug-device combination products, small and biomolecules, and complex drug delivery systems such as films, patches, active platforms, and topical forms. He was instrumental in the successful development, approval, and launch of a first-of-a-kind active transdermal product. Cormac has authored scientific papers and patented inventions. In addition to pharmaceuticals, over the course of his career, Cormac has adapted successfully in several other fields, including Renewable Energy, Biosensors, and Novel Displays.

Cormac is driven by the desire to positively influence people's lives. Being a senior manager in a pharmaceutical organization provides him with the opportunity to realize his personal mission by providing drug products that allow people to live healthier and happier lives. As a leader in the organization, Cormac is also driven by a desire to develop people to their fullest potential.

Cormac holds a Doctorate in Chemistry and a Bachelor’s in Science (First Class Honors) in both Physics and Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin. He conducted his Postdoctoral Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
