Ken Vlasoff is Tatitlek’s Vice President and President of two subsidiary corporations, Tatitlek Contractors Inc. and Tatitlek Management Inc. He is also a Director of the Copper Mountain Foundation and the Tatitlek Settlement Trust. Ken has served on Tatitlek’s Board for more than 10 years, in addition to previously serving on The Native Village of Tatitlek Governing Council for more than six years.
Ken was born and raised in the Native Village of Tatitlek. He is a recognized authority on tribal subsistence practices and traditional Alutiiq knowledge. He holds certifications in heavy-equipment operation and maintenance, as well as commercial maritime operation, and was formally trained in commercial refrigeration at the American Institute in Chicago. Before retiring, Ken spent 45 consecutive seasons fishing the Copper River Delta and Prince William Sound.
Ken remains active in his community and church. He volunteers time to mentoring tribal youth, as well as traveling internationally to support ministries around the globe.
