Hansal Patel

Hansal Patel is vice president, general counsel and secretary for The Timken Company where he oversees all legal activities for the organization and its board of directors. He was elected an officer of the company in 2019.

Patel joined Timken in 2011 as an attorney and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the legal function. He has served as managing attorney – M&A, securities and assistant secretary, and most recently was vice president and corporate secretary.

Before joining Timken, Patel was a senior corporate and securities associate at a full-service international law firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio specializing in mergers and acquisitions, securities and general corporate law. While working for the law firm, he was listed as a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers.

Patel holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University. He has previously served on various non-profit boards, most recently as Director and Chair of the Finance Committee for Tremont West Development Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio.
