Juan Tubert (John)

Juan Tubert, also known as John Tubert, has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Juan (John) is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Tombras since April 2022. In addition to their role at Tombras, they are an Executive Judge at The Webby Awards since January 2023 and a Judge for the Innovation category at AICP (Association of Independent Commercial Producers) since February 2023.

Before joining Tombras, Juan worked at R/GA, where they held various positions including SVP, Technology (Head of Technology, US), VP of Technology, Executive Director of Technology, Group Senior Technology Director, Group Technical Director, and Technical Director. Juan (John) led the tech practice, managed client relationships, and oversaw technical deliverables for global clients such as Google, Airbnb, Volvo, E*Trade, Fossil, Goldman Sachs, AARP, and PwC. Juan (John)'stenure at R/GA spanned from July 2015 to April 2022.

Juan also co-owned and worked as a developer at Fresh Baked Apps, LLC from June 2011 to June 2015. Juan (John) served as a Technical Leader at HBO from October 2008 to August 2009. Furthermore, they held senior developer and consultant roles at Condenet, Media Dwellers, and LightSpeed VT.

Throughout their career, Juan has been involved in judging industry awards, participating in advisory boards, and contributing to the growth of technology companies. Juan (John) has a strong background in technology leadership, project management, and team building.

Juan Tubert attended Forest Hills High School from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained their high school diploma. Following this, they enrolled at the School of Visual Arts from 1993 to 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. In terms of additional certifications, Juan completed the CQ5 Developer Training course at Adobe in November 2013. Furthermore, they obtained the AWS Alexa Skill Builder certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2019.
