Bret Aarden

Bret Aarden has extensive work experience in engineering and leadership roles. Bret currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at The Tour Guy since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Wayfair, where they held various roles including Senior Staff Engineer, Associate Director of Engineering, and Senior Software Manager. During their time at Wayfair, they were responsible for generating key metrics for software development processes, improving developer leverage through tooling, and leading the scaling and migration of the team's services. Before joining Wayfair, Bret worked as a Choir Section Leader at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Bret also has teaching experience as a Visiting Assistant Professor at New College of Florida, where they taught computer applications and conducted research in musicology. Additionally, they served as an Adjunct Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
