Melissa Cassis

Melissa Cassis is a seasoned educational professional with extensive experience in admissions, financial assistance, and technology integration in schools. Currently serving as the Director of High School Placement and Technology Teacher at The Town School since August 2023, Melissa previously held the position of Director of Middle & Upper School Admission and Director of Financial Assistance at The Brearley School from July 2019 to July 2023. Additionally, experience includes a role as a Graduate Student at the Klingenstein Center at Columbia University’s Teachers College and practicum research at Poly Prep Country Day School. Prior to these roles, Melissa was the Senior Associate Director of Admissions at The Hewitt School and also taught at Greenwich Academy, where contributions included teaching Computer Science and Digital Art during summer sessions. Education credentials comprise a Master of Arts in Private School Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Middlebury College, along with study at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
