Jennifer Mascia

Jennifer Mascia is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in reporting on gun violence and related issues. Currently a contributor to CNN's Guns in America team since August 2022, Mascia has been a news writer and engagement writer for The Trace since September 2014. Previous roles include copy chief at Narratively, Inc. from 2013 to 2015, and various positions at The New York Times from 2006 to 2014, where Mascia contributed significantly to the creation of The Gun Report blog. Mascia holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Hunter College.
