Waseem Basheer

Waseem Basheer is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and software design. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Engineering at The Trade Desk since December 2021, Waseem oversees a range of initiatives including Core Platform development, Real-time Bidding Systems, AI and Machine Learning, and various high-performance computing projects. Prior to this role, Waseem held positions as Vice President of Engineering and Fellow, focusing on similar technical domains. Waseem's career began at Microsoft, where from October 2000 to March 2016, responsibilities included enhancing the communication protocol layer for SQL Server Parallel Data Warehousing and developing features for WCF Data Services. Waseem holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.
