Tim Hampton

Tim has been at Te Tai Ōhanga since April 2022, following an earlier stint that ended in 2011. Tim has also worked at the New South Wales Department of Premier and Cabinet, and at the Reserve Banks of New Zealand and Australia. The first half of his career was focused on monetary policy, before moving into broader economics and fiscal policy, then broader economic policy. While working at the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet, areas of work covered health, education and intergovernmental policy. In the three years before returning to Te Tai Ōranga, Tim was Deputy Secretary leading the Ministry of Justice’s Sector Group.
