Ash Samuels is a multifaceted professional with experience in design, communication, crisis counseling, and education. Currently serving as a GS Operative at the International Spy Museum and a Design & Communications Manager at Azelia Law PLLC, Ash also works as a Designer & Muralist at Capital Murals, specializing in mural and interior design projects within the Greater Washington area. Concurrently, Ash provides crisis counseling to LGBTQ+ youth at The Trevor Project, complementing training in risk assessment and harm reduction. Prior experience includes roles as an Art Instructor at both US Arts Center and Nysa | New York School of Arts, as well as manuscript illustration for Hillary Steel. Ash's foundational experience in animation production was gained during an internship with DreamWorks Animation, and earlier positions included various administrative and mentoring roles at the Rhode Island School of Design, contributing significantly to community outreach and student support programs. Ash holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and has participated in further education at Brown University and Montgomery College.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning) young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: our 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, text and soon-to-come integrations with social media platforms. We also run TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth, and operate innovative education, research, and advocacy programs.
