Earlier in their career, Karen worked at Tiger Oak Publications as a Project Manager/Writer from 2003 to 2004, where they wrote and produced a monthly newsletter for Minnesota Bride magazine and coordinated various events in the meetings and events industry.

Karen's career began in 1998 when they founded The Wedding Coordinators, Inc. as a Wedding Planner. Karen successfully grew the business into the largest wedding planning enterprise in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, earning a reputation for excellence in wedding planning, logistics, troubleshooting, and creative distinction.
