Talia Deer has a diverse work experience, starting in 2017 as a Business Development professional at Riskified, a B2B SaaS startup. After a few months, they shifted their focus towards law and joined DLA Piper as an Associate, working with the Fund Formation and Emerging Growth & Venture Capital groups. Talia also completed an in-house secondment at an SEC-registered investment adviser. In 2019, Talia joined Dentons as an Associate in the Venture Tech Group, advising founders and VCs on venture financings and corporate governance. During their time there, they successfully led a Series B financing for a venture-backed hospitality/tech client, bringing in $100k in revenue. In 2020, Talia transitioned to a strategic role as the Head of Community & Strategic Initiatives at The Suite (formerly TechGC), a community of executive legal leaders. Talia played a key role in building the Content Function, overseeing numerous events and conferences. Talia is currently the Head of Community & Growth at The Trium Group, a management consulting firm in San Francisco, where they focus on executive community building and connecting professionals in the field of leadership, culture, and strategy execution.

Talia Deer's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree, which they obtained from the University of Southern California from 2011 to 2014. Talia'sfield of study was in Psychology & Business.

After completing their Bachelor's degree, Talia Deer went on to pursue a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from USC Gould School of Law. Furthermore, in September 2017, they obtained a Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits, with Merit & Distinction from WSET — Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Talia Deer also holds the certifications of Community MBA from CMX, obtained in March 2021, and ODCB for Community Builders (Cohort 3) from On Deck, obtained in July 2022.
