Qu'Derrick R. Covington

Qu'Derrick R. Covington's work experience includes serving as the Executive Director for The Tulsa Initiative, Inc., where they are responsible for leading the organization, communicating with the Board of Directors, and fundraising. Qu'Derrick R. has also worked as the Chief Diversity Officer for the Florida Institute of Oceanography, promoting diversity and inclusion in ocean science and developing initiatives for underrepresented communities. Prior to that, Covington held various roles at Howard University, including overseeing diversity, retention, and engagement efforts, serving as an Adjunct Professor, and managing the OUS SYE & Tutoring Center. Qu'Derrick R. has also served as the Assistant Regional Vice President for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, a non-profit organization for African American college men.

Qu'Derrick R. Covington has a strong education background, beginning with their associate's degree in Christian Studies from More Than Conquerors College, which they completed between 2010 and 2012.
