Rigved Joshi is the Director of the Invention to Innovation Center (I2C) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Rigved has over six years of experience in commercialization, product development, and startup advisory.
Joshi started their career as a Manager of New Ventures at Vanderbilt University where they led strategy, execution, and investor relations for Gateway, a diversified portfolio of corporate securities listed on the Indian stock exchanges. Rigved then transitioned to Disciplina Group, LLC as Strategy / Product Development / Start-up Advisory where they led commercialization efforts of technologies that spun off from Vanderbilt University. In this role, they served as an independent consultant, driving strategy, engagement, and business development initiatives. Rigved also led product development, customer engagement, and market launch of IRIS, a full service Fund and Risk Management platform developed by Disciplina.
In their current role as Director of the Invention to Innovation Center at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, Joshi oversees all aspects of the I2C program which includes working with faculty and staff to identify, protect, and commercialize new technologies and intellectual property. Under their direction, the I2C has been extremely successful in helping move University research to the marketplace.
They work with Thomas Koshut - AVP, Research & Economic Development, Gloria Greene - AVP, Contracts & Grants, and Valarie King - Director C&G Accounting. Their manager is Robert Lindquist, VP, Research & Economic Development. and Nicole Howard - Program Coordinator reports to Rigved Joshi.
