Amanda Laycock

Amanda Laycock has extensive experience in event management and operational roles, currently serving as the Special Events and Operations Director at The University of Alabama since April 2017. Previous positions at the university include Campaign and Principal Gifts Coordinator, Assistant Director of Affinity Programs, and Alumni Chapter Representative. Prior to this, Amanda managed retail operations as a Manager/Buyer at Barton's from September 2010 to April 2017 and operated a consulting business as the Owner/Consultant at Everything in ALL until April 2017. Amanda's earlier career includes a significant tenure at the New York City Council as a Senior Graphic Designer/Project Manager and a Graphic Designer, along with a role as a Graphic Design Instructor at NYC Parks & Recreation. Amanda holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Environmental Sciences with a focus on Consumer Quality Management from The University of Alabama, completed in August 2021.
