Ben Harris

Ben Harris is an experienced fire service professional currently serving as a Fire Lieutenant and EMT with Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue since August 2004, responsible for leading crews in various emergency response scenarios. In addition to current duties, Ben holds the position of Fire and Life Safety Inspector at The University of Alabama since May 2021. Previous experience includes operating as a Sergeant and Apparatus Operator with Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service from 2009 to 2015, where responsibilities encompassed technical rescue and hazardous materials management. Ben is also the former owner of Delivery/Assembly Services, providing specialized delivery and assembly for exercise equipment and other items from 2007 to 2020. Ben holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on Management from The University of Alabama and a Command and Control of Incident Operations certificate from the National Fire Academy obtained in July 2019.
