John Haley

John Haley is an accomplished professional in the fields of creative media and documentary filmmaking, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Creative Media at The University of Alabama since July 2022. Prior to this position, John worked as a Lecturer at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and held various roles including Fellow for Senator Ram Villivalam, Film Fellow at Alabama Rivers Alliance, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northwestern University. John's experience includes producing for WGN-TV's "Backstory," serving as an Education & Day Services Specialist with New Avenues for Youth, and creating promotional content for the Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Media from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Film/Video and Photographic Arts and Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
