Kathryn Watson

Kathryn Watson currently serves as the Director of Policy and Research at the Massachusetts Office of the Veteran Advocate, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Kathryn contributed as a volunteer associate researcher at The University of Alabama, working on the Women Who Served Needs Assessment. Kathryn is also the founder and former CEO of YourNexStage Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting women veterans. Previous experience includes positions as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and as an owner, consultant, and lobbyist at Chrysalis-SP, along with roles in government relations and program design at Parsons Corporation and as a senior policy and program analyst for the State of New Jersey. Kathryn holds a Master of Public Policy from Rutgers University - Camden and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Iowa.
