Lucy Arnold Sikes

Lucy Arnold Sikes is the AVP of External Affairs at The University of Alabama. Lucy has over 15 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications.

Sikes began their career as the Vice President of Public Relations for The University of Houston. In this role, they managed all aspects of the university's public relations, including media relations, marketing, and branding. Lucy also oversaw the development and implementation of strategic communications plans.

In 2003, Sikes left The University of Houston to become the Director of Corporate Relations for the Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama. In this role, they were responsible for managing relationships between the college and its business partners. Lucy also helped to raise funds for the college and its programs.

In 2011, Sikes became the President of the Board of Directors for the Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA). The PRCA is the state's longest operating and largest group of public relations practitioners. The organization exists to further the professional and networking interests of today's public relations and communication professionals in private, public and nonprofit businesses and organizations.

Sikes has a bachelor's degree in communications from The University of Alabama. Lucy is a member of the PRCA and the Association for Women in Communications.

Lucy Arnold Sikes received their Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Florida State University.
