Michael Bruce

Michael Bruce currently serves as the Chair of the Journalism & Creative Media Department at The University of Alabama, a position held since August 2011. Additionally, Michael occupies the role of Interim Director of the Digital Media Center and is an Associate Professor specializing in Sports Broadcasting. Prior to this, Michael was an Assistant Professor of Telecommunication and Television Production Manager at Oklahoma Baptist University from August 1998 to July 2011. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Oklahoma (2002-2012), a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from the same institution (1991-1993), and a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication from Oklahoma Baptist University (1985-1988).
