Suresh Garimella

Suresh Garimella currently serves as the President of the University of Vermont, a position held since July 2019. In addition, Suresh Garimella has been a Board Member of the National Science Board since November 2018. Prior to these roles, Suresh Garimella was the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships at Purdue University from July 2014 to June 2019, and previously held positions such as Chief Global Affairs Officer and Associate Vice President for Engagement. Suresh Garimella also served as the R. Eugene and Susie E. Goodson Distinguished Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University from July 2009 to June 2019 and was the Founding Director of the Cooling Technologies Research Center at Purdue University from January 1999 to June 2019. Suresh Garimella earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master's degree from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
