Erin Valdez

Erin Valdez serves as the Executive Director of the Incubator of the Center for Education and Public Service at the University of Austin, a position held since July 2024. As the Founder and Principal of The Examining Life since 2018, Erin Valdez leverages extensive experience in K-12 and higher education policy, management, and curriculum development to enhance educational opportunities for all students. Previously, Erin held several roles at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, culminating as Policy Director of the Next Generation Texas initiative, and served as Program Manager for Educational Partnerships at the Charles Koch Foundation. With a rich teaching background in Latin and Greek at various academic institutions, Erin also contributes expertise to Classical Academic Press as an author and editor, specializing in Greek and Latin textbooks. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Studies from Hillsdale College, a Master's in Classics from UC Santa Barbara, and a significant academic experience at College Year in Athens.
