David Kiragu

David Kiragu is a dedicated primary care physician currently practicing at UChicago Medicine since October 2025. Prior to this role, David served as a Medical Officer at Carelon Health from May 2021 to June 2025, leading the launch of CareMore’s value-based healthcare operations for Medicaid and Medicare patients in North Carolina and overseeing clinical quality for a team of healthcare providers. David's experience includes working as an Internal Medicine Physician at WILSON MEDICAL GROUP, PLLC from August 2015 to May 2021, where comprehensive primary care was provided to adult patients. Additionally, David held the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at UChicago Medicine from September 2012 to June 2015, supervising internal medicine residents and contributing to the Kidney Transplant Committee. David began professional training as Chief Resident at NorthShore University HealthSystem from July 2011 to June 2012, following the attainment of a Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and further education at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
