Melanie Norstrom

Melanie Norstrom is a seasoned professional in regulatory affairs and clinical research management with extensive experience at UChicago Medicine since September 2014, where Melanie currently serves as Senior Program Manager and previously held the role of Regulatory Affairs Manager. In this position, Melanie coordinates the submission of numerous clinical studies, managing the full regulatory life cycle for approximately 150 studies annually and advising research teams on device studies. Prior roles include Research Coordinator at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where Melanie managed clinical trials and ensured compliance with regulatory guidelines, and Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago, focusing on research in biochemistry and supervising student projects. Melanie holds a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree from Austin College.
