Tracy Volel

Tracy Volel has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, spanning over several roles and organizations. Tracy started their career at Lenox Hill Hospital in 1994 as a Senior Billing Analyst/ Coder, where they worked until 1999. Following that, they joined Mercy Hospital & Medical Center as a Billing Analyst - Medicare/ Medicaid from 1999 to 2002. In 2003, Tracy joined UChicago Medicine, where they held various positions, starting as a Compliance Data Analyst until 2004, then transitioning to a Compliance Auditor until 2006. Tracy was subsequently promoted to Manager, Compliance Education in 2006 and then promoted again to Director, Compliance Risk and Data Services from 2007 to 2010. Tracy then served as an Associate Compliance Officer from 2010 to 2017 before being appointed as Deputy Compliance Officer from 2017 to 2022. Currently, they hold the role of Chief Compliance Officer at UChicago Medicine.

Tracy Volel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Tracy also has a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Illinois Chicago.
