Research Assistant, Uchicago Justice Project at The University of Chicago

Aya H. is a motivated student at the University of Chicago, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies and Human Rights, expected to graduate in June 2025. Aya serves as the Refounding Editor in Chief for the UChicago Undergraduate Law Magazine and holds multiple roles within the university, including Research Assistant for the UChicago Justice Project, College Council Representative for the Undergraduate Student Government, and Resident Assistant at Max Palevsky Residential Commons East. Additionally, Aya is President of the University of Chicago Arab Student Association and has gained practical legal experience as a Judicial Extern at the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and as a Diplomatic Research Intern at The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq. Aya graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School with a Superintendent's Diploma of Distinction, completing the International Baccalaureate program.
