Ellen Woods

Ellen Woods serves as the Chief Communication Officer at the National Certification Board for Alzheimer Care since September 2016 and holds the position of Adjunct Instructor in Persuasive Communications at the University of Chicago since January 1998. Additionally, Ellen is a Communications Consultant for the National Certification Board for Alzheimer and Aging Care and a Planned Giving Consultant at the John Paul II Newman Center at the University of Illinois, Chicago since July 2019. Formerly, Ellen was the Associate Vice President for Certifying Board Services at the American Osteopathic Association and a Senior Major Gifts Officer at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Earlier in career, Ellen was the Executive Director of Alumni Development at Roosevelt University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Communication from Northwestern University and certificates in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Notre Dame.
