Emily Werth

Emily Werth is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago, specializing in Reproductive Health and Justice seminars since January 2023. With a robust legal career, Emily has served as Senior Staff Attorney and previously as Staff Attorney at the ACLU of Illinois since October 2014. Emily is also a member of the Board of Directors at Healing to Action, a position held since January 2019, and was a Fellow at the National Women's Law Center from November 2013 to October 2014. Earlier experience includes serving as a Staff Attorney and Skadden Fellow at the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law from September 2011 to August 2013. Emily holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School (2011) and an AB in Sociology from the University of Chicago (2006).
